Hudson - 8/31/2017

Hudson ate waffle and some fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, carrots and green beans, and ate applesauce.

Although just about everyone knows this, I still want to mention that today is Reid's last day.  So going forward I'll have 4 kids plus the 2 after school kids until the middle of November and then a new baby will start.  We've had a long relationship with Reid's family - 3 boys and the oldest is now in the 7th grade.  We're thankful they live just around the corner so we see them frequently!!  I'm still gonna miss having Reid here and his awesome sense of humor.

I took these first two pictures yesterday afternoon.  Like Daddy Ryan said this morning, this is where it all starts!!  Right here at Daycare!!  Haha!  How cute is this?  Hudson was just having "love surges" and couldn't get enough of Nora.  Then he was trying to hug her while she was up and walking and that wasn't working well at all!!

Hudson was looking at the pictures in this toy and he was wanting to show Avi as well.  He said, "See butterfly Avi, see butterfly."  Of course he holding it upside down, but she was trying to cooperate.  So I told him to turn it over and he swapped ends, but got it right-side-up!  Haha!  In the last picture Hudson was playing with the old flip phone and he likes opening and closing them.  We also played outside.  Avi was asking for bubbles so we did bubbles.

Hudson - 8/30/2017

Hudson ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate most of salmon loaf, ate dinner roll, two servings of squash, and ate tropical fruit.

It has been a busy place around here this morning with the "Reid & Cooper" show!  Tomorrow is Reid's last day at Little Treasures before going to Pre-School and Cooper is back for one day to visit because his Pre-school is closed until Monday.  In the picture below Reid is building a place for Cooper to hide and it's working - you can't see Cooper inside!  At 10:00 Cooper said (from inside his hiding place), "Can you tell me when Riley and Kenzie come?!?"  Haha!!  (They come at 3:15.)  At 10:05 Reid told Cooper, "They are literally not here yet!"  LOL!  At 10:06 Cooper busted out!  :)  (I know you've spotted Hudson, but he's at the bottom of the picture watching the show.)  They were keeping the little ones well entertained!!

Hudson was asking me to "read books, read books."  I love how much he loves books! (So do I and I hope it will be a lifelong love of his!!)  He was actually waiting quite patiently for me to get done with some other diapering duties and I took this picture while he was waiting.  :)

Hudson did some of his own block building and then I helped him make a cozy place to sit and continue watching the Reid & Cooper show!  He went and got some pillows for his seat!  I took this last picture after he got all settled in his spot.

Hudson - 8/29/2017

Hudson ate most of toasted whole wheat english muffin and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate  bites of pork chop, ate whole wheat bread, bites of beets, two servings of sweet potatoes, and two servings of applesauce.  He's heard me talking about a new Baby coming in November; "Who's coming to your Daycare?"  Linnea -  (And I'm just guessing at how they pronounce her name.)  "La-nay."  Hudson said, "Ba-nay?"  No, La-nay.  He said, "Ba-nay?"  No, La-nay.  He said, "La-ba-nay?"  Haha!!  Oh man I roared!  So cute.

All the kids were very happy to see the Cline Sisters - Kenzie and Riley - after school yesterday.  When I took the picture below Hudson was showing them one of the massive bruises on his knee.  :) They all jumped on the mattress together and Hudson wanted to be right beside Kenzie the rest of the afternoon.

Hudson kept saying, "Hey Gary! Nora standing up!  Hey Gary!  Nora standing up!"  Yes, she's walking a lot now and standing up most of the time.  (So I'm hoping the novelty of her walking will soon wear off!!  Haha!!)  When I took the picture below Nora had been handing Hudson legos pieces and Hudson was building his legos toy and then showing Nora what he was doing.

I like this picture of Hudson and Avilene mowing the lawn.  Earlier, during Story Time we were reading Dr Seuss' "What would you rather be when you grow up......?"  So I asked Hudson that question and he immediately said, "A Mower."  Mower?  "When I grow up I'm gonna mow the lawn!"  So here is Hudson and Avilene practicing mowing the lawn and helping Hudson work toward a life goal!  Also, just as we got outside this morning Hudson said, "bacon, bacon."  Haha! That originated with Reid after the smoke settled in the valley!

Hudson - 8/28/2017

Hudson ate whole grain chex cereal and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch he ate hamburger, hamburger bun, half of tomato, no lettuce, ate mushrooms, and avocado, and bites of oranges.  I don't think I've mentioned this for a long time, but Hudson is consistently one of my best eaters.  He never complains and at least gives it a try!

When Ryan (Nora's Dad) drove by the window this morning Hudson studied the car and said, "That Ryan's car?"  Yup, that's Ryan's car.  He said, "Not Emily's."  Ha!  Here's the context of that comment: Several days ago Hudson saw Ryan driving Emily's car and said, "That's Emily's car!"  He sees Emily come get Nora every afternoon.

Hudson was a HUGE helper this morning when he yelled;  "There's poop all over here!!"  Thank you Hudson!!  Thank goodness Lauralea hadn't left either!  (She was wishing she was gone!)  We were scrambling around getting it cleaned up and keeping kids from stepping in it!!  Hey, it's just a Monday morning and that's how we roll!!  Pretty big mess, but not close to the Little Treasures record for epic poop messes!!  :)  I am certainly glad Hudson alerted me to what he saw!

Here are some pictures from this morning's activities; Hudson, Avilene, and Nora were bouncing on the mattress hanging on to the blue balance beam.  This was Nora's first time to do it as a group activity.  In the 2nd picture Reid is in the little house serving ice cream - for a fee of course.  He said, "That will be nine dollars for chocolate ice cream.!"  Ha!  And in the last picture Reid was rolling his car back and forth on the concrete floor with Hudson.

Hudson - 8/21/2017

Hudson ate cheerios and two servings of banana for breakfast.  For lunch he ate taco salad; hamburger, olives, half of lettuce and tomatoes, ate pita bread, and cantaloupe.  Reid was doing some kind of "informal survey" at Lunch time and asked everyone; "Do you guys normally get up at 2 AM!?"  Haha!  That made me laugh!  So I said, "no, do you?"  He said, "We do!  But not today.  We got up at 7:00 AM."  :)  His Mom told me this morning that Reid has been sleeping in and so today they were transitioning to get ready for the school year.  So maybe he meant 2 PM!  Ha!

Nora Hansen is still at Flathead Lake and will be back tomorrow.  I showed a video to Reid and Hudson that the Hansen Family sent me.  Nora was slashing in the water and Daddy Ryan was holding her.  Hudson didn't say anything about Nora, but said, "That Ryan!"  Haha!!  I told them Nora was playing at Flathead Lake and Reid said, "Well it's not that flat!  See the waves!"  I love their observations and it's rarely what I think it's going to be!!

As we were going outside Reid made another proclamation!  "Hey everybody!!  It smells like bacon out here!!"  LOL!!  That did make the smoke seem more pleasant!!  Isn't this next picture cute.  This is "circle time" at Little Treasures!  Avi is also sitting on a ball although you can't see it in the picture. They all wanted to do bubbles, but we were waiting until Sophie arrived!  In the last picture you can see Sophie obviously made it!!  Avi had been on the teeter-totter with Hudson and Sophie, but as soon as she got off, Reid got on and they continued to have lots of fun!

Hudson - 8/17/2017

Hudson ate most of his breakfast: whole wheat english muffin and oranges.  For lunch he ate turkey burger, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and two servings of applesauce.  I was teasing Hudson and I said, "Hudson, you never hear a word you won't mimic!"  He said, "Mimic!?!"  Haha!  Yes, mimic.  I rest my case.  :)

This next note isn't about Hudson, but I think you'll like it!  I told Reid that I was sure going to miss having him in my Daycare.  At lunch he asked me if I had any potato chips.  "No, I never eat potato chips and we never serve potato chips!"  Reid said, "Well it is my last day.  (Actually his last day is the 31st.)  LOL  Nice try Reid!  Not to be deterred he then asked if we could have "elbow noodles every day until he leaves!"  Haha!  Reid is obviously here after a two week road trip to Kansas City. Hudson followed him around this morning asking him questions and jabbering at him.  :)

I took this first picture of Hudson making faces at himself in the mirror.  I then showed him the picture and he laughed so I asked him what he was doing.  Hudson said, "I look in mirror and say, Hi Tutu!"  Haha!  When he's stumped for an answer "Tutu" is his default answer!!

I took this picture of a picture on the Daycare wall of Lauralea and I from several years ago!  (One of our old Daycare families had this done for us.)  Every day this week Hudson has looked at this picture and asked me the same question: "Is Lauralea sitting on your lap!?"  Haha!  As a side note I want to mention that we'll frequently pick up some toys before going outside in the afternoon and Hudson has been an awesome helper.

Hudson - 8/16/2017

Hudson ate most of french toast and ate strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate most of Paleo Stew with turkey burger, green beans, carrots, cauliflower, and brussel sprouts.  He ate crackers and tropical fruit.  He picked up a little brussel sprout and called it a "ball."  But he bravely tried it and then ate all of it.  I was very proud of him for giving it a try and then he liked it!  Very cool.

Nora joined Hudson on the legos table while he was building with the legos.  Nora began pitching his legos back into the drawer.  Uhhh...that's not helpful Nora!  Entertaining for Gary?... yes, helpful for Hudson? .... no.  :)  Hudson is actually pretty patient and tolerant of Baby Nora.  A few minutes later Nora was at the window and Hudson was petting Nora's hair.  He said, "Your hair is soft."  Then he noticed I was watching them and he said, "I was petting her."  Haha!  "Yes; and it was very cute and very sweet."

Hudson was playing with the binoculars that have animal pictures in them.  Similar to the "viewfinder cameras" from the last play set.  However, these binoculars are much easier for the kids to use.  Hudson said, "What's this Gary?"  I told him it was "a moose standing in the water."  Avi came running over to have a look and it amused me how she was trying to have a look too!  "I wanna see!  I wanna see!!"

I primarily took this next picture because 3 of the kids were playing with the same toy!  Sometimes it does work to have multiples of the same toy!  We also read books, played outside, and tried some more Art today.  I gave them markers (I like washable markers more than crayons) but out of the 4 kids here today Hudson was the only one to make lots of marks on his paper.  The others were more interested in coloring their hands and sucking on the markers!  Ha!  So we'll try finger painting next! Hudson was very intentional with his marking this morning and is starting to do "representational drawing."  Example: This morning he said, "This is a letter I doing."

Hudson - 8/15/2017

Hudson ate bite of waffle and some grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate baked chicken, whole grain tortillas, no roasted cabbage, and ate baked cinnamon apples.

Hudson, Avilene, and Atley were all waving bye to Daddy Colin this morning and when Colin drove off Avi kept waving for a couple of moments.  Hudson was watching her closely and said, "That NOT you Dad!"  Haha!  She totally knows that Hudson!  I wonder how many times I've heard Kids say that phrase!!??!! ..... "That's not your Dad!  That's not your Mom!"

I took this first picture of Hudson and Avilene examining the little stuffed monkey with the white bottom.  Hudson said, "Oh No!!  He's got a tooth skin on his butt!!"  Haha!  What did you say?  He repeated it about 3 times for me, but I couldn't really figure out what he was saying and that's what it sounded like!!  He did point to the white tag hanging from it's butt.

The kids were watching the street sweeper this morning and Hudson said, "He's sweeping the water! (Well they did spray water on the street first!)  And in the last picture ... We don't do Art Time very often during the summer months, but enjoy going outside when we can.  However, we decided this was a good day to do some dot painting and the kids enjoy did a LOT!  I frequently moved Hudson's paper around so he didn't make a hole in his paper by pounding his paint directly on one spot!

Hudson - 8/14/2017

Hudson ate bites of breakfast: kix cereal and mixed fruit.  For lunch he ate half of turkey burger, ate hamburger bun, bites of lettuce and tomato, ate avocado, and maybe a bite of cherries.  Hudson always says, "I'm done" when he really is done eating.  Avilene was mimicking him this morning and kept saying, "I done" while continuing to shovel food in her mouth.

Our morning was somewhat interrupted when the County Health Nurse came to check my records and see if I had all the children's immunization records up to date.  Everything was good so thank you parents for remembering to bring your child's records after their regularly scheduled immunizations.  The Nurse was preparing to leave when the Food Program Sponsor also made a bi-annual visit to make sure all those records were in order as well!  Two weeks ago the State Licensor from DPHHS was here doing a yearly inspection!!  No deficiencies from any of them so all is good!!  :)  It's not a huge deal if they find something wrong; I just have to come up with a correction plan.  Unless it's something serious of course and that would be a HUGE deal.  Thank goodness it's never happened!!  (For example, I'm not allowed to store the nap mats together and have their bedding touch!  Maybe they don't realize the kids chew on the same toys!  Ha!)  Anyhow, I'm glad that's all over for a year!  It cut into our morning activities a bit, but not too bad BECAUSE:

We did a Toy, book, and Puzzle exchange this weekend and that keeps the kids engaged!  So it was kind of the perfect day for disruptions!!  :)  Avi, Nora, and Hudson were wearing some animal masks so I took this first picture when Hudson put on the "lion mask."  Cute little lion.  By the way, I should have mentioned this in the last paragraph, but when the Health Nurse walked in I told Hudson her name is "Coleen."  He started saying, "Avilene, Avilene, Avilene."  So I'm assuming that was because they sound alike and we repeated them together several times.  I shouldn't be surprised, but rhyming rarely starts this early, usually after the age of 3, so as we've mentioned many times his language development is very impressive.  Usually kids are starting to rhyme when they are leaving Little Treasures.  Nicely done Hudson!!

In this last picture Hudson and Avi appear to be having a conversation and I'm thinking maybe they're discussing the traffic during the daily commute!  "I could barely get my bike through that busy spot!!"  :)

Hudson - 8/11/2017

Hudson ate oatmeal and baked apples with cinnamon for breakfast.  For lunch he ate hamburger stew with green beans, carrots, and tomatoes.  He also ate dinner roll and apricots.  We were talking about his name being Bubba and Hudson.  He said, "My other name is Hudson Boyle."  Haha!  Yup it is!

I took this first picture yesterday afternoon when Hudson and Avi were playing on the teeter-totter.  They were so funny; laughing and giggling.  It primarily started when Avi decided to start diving off head-first, similar to what Hudson is doing in the picture.  Then it evolved to Hudson diving off and Avi trying to stand up while he was jumping off!  Good plan Avilene!!  :)

I LOVE this picture of  Hudson hugging Avilene!  Haha!!  She was barely willing to tolerate it - look at that face - just "hurry up Bubba and get it over with!!!  I need to keep moving!!"  That was very sweet of you to let him hug you Avi!  Hudson said, "I gave Avi a hug!"  All proud of himself!

Hudson loves to build with the legos, blocks, etc.  He was doing his building on the legos table and Nora was determined to terrorize him!  Ha!  So I put her on the floor and she was back up there SO fast!  Hudson was yelling and I told him to simply move his "tower" to the sink area and Nora couldn't reach it.  I took the last picture after he got it set up in a different spot.  Look out world!  Nora is getting super mobile and she has a plan!!  Haha!  We've been teaching this age group for many years and it always sounds like this: "When the little ones try to grab your toys, just move away, or ask for help!!"  :)  So my point is this; Nora is just helping Hudson with his development!!  And it won't be long until someone else is doing the same for Nora!!

Hudson - 8/10/2017

Hudson ate french toast and half of his dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch he ate pulled pork sandwich, most of peas, and most of cantaloupe.  At breakfast Sophie said, "Hey Gary, is this Snack?"  No, this is breakfast.  Why?  She pointed at Hudson and Avilene and said, "These guys said it was snack."  Haha!  I guess they could be considered an unreliable source.  Ha!

The following note is just an FYI for the Daycare Families.  Things were a bit hectic right after breakfast (actually during breakfast) because Atley puked in her breakfast tray and that needed to be cleaned and also call her Mom and Dad to come get her.  So that took some time and I'm only sharing this because if it's a stomach bug then others may have been exposed.  The State Regulations are concerned about confidentiality, but in a Family Daycare Home that is hardly possible.  I could tell you that a child had to be sent home with an illness, but it's not hard to figure out who it is!!  :)  And I feel it's important to let the Parents know when their child has been exposed.  Atley had laid her head on the chair before breakfast and started crying.  She RARELY cries and it kind of surprised Hudson. He said, "Atley pretend to cry."  It only lasted a few moments, but she was obviously not feeling good.

Hudson asked if we could "look at bear in creek."  Ok, we'll look and see if the Big Bears are still feeding on salmon.  One kept sticking it's face under the water looking for a fish.  Hudson thought that was very funny.  He said, "He's looking for a fish under there."  Later, I'd forgotten about the bear and we were singing "The Bear Went Over the Mountain..."  I asked Hudson, "What did the Bear see when he went over the Mountain?"  Hudson said, "Another fish."  LOL  That made me laugh!

Look at this picture - so cute - sometimes you bicker, sometimes you don't!!  30 seconds before the picture they were bickering!!  Moments after this picture Sophie said, "Bubba!  Your neck is sweaty!"  Haha!  Then Sophie added, "Don't hit me, ok!?!"  Hudson said or actually asked; "Are you very gentle?"  Haha!  What a pair!  :)  By the way, Sophie essentially ignored his question!  Ha!

Hudson - 8/9/2017

Hudson ate whole wheat toast and most of mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate everything: hamburger with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, squash, and fruit salad.  (He had an extra serving of squash.)  At breakfast Sophie said, "Hudson is leaving early." (dentist)  She said, "I'm leaving early because I'm NOT going to the dentist."  Haha!!

At breakfast Sophie was telling Bubba that "My Daddy gonna take me to the Fair."  Hudson said, "Are you sure!?"  Haha!  That hit my funny bone.  Sophie, on the other hand, was NOT amused at all!  (How dare you question what I'm telling you!?)  Cousins!  Haha!!

We'd only been outside for a few minutes when a car drove by that apparently was a bit too loud.  Hudson asked, "Will you protect me?"  Yes, I certainly will Hudson.  It's actually great that he can verbalize so well and then we have the privilege to understand what this 27 month old boy is thinking.  We can make educated guesses, but this is very fascinating!!  :)  We had another little boy many years ago who was verbal at an early age very similar to Hudson and it was a joy to work with him as well.

The kids had fun outside chasing bubbles, riding bikes, running, and playing on the climbers.  I took this picture when Avi and Hudson were meeting on the road!  They quickly figure out how to meet/pass each other without conflict or road rage!  Ha!  Seriously, it's amazing how rarely there is conflict on the sidewalks or jumping on the mattress - the 2 areas most likely to get "congested" with Infant/Toddler traffic.

Hudson - 8/8/2017

Hudson ate most of his whole wheat bagel and ate two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate shrimp, brown rice, some stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries.

This first picture was taken yesterday afternoon.  Lauralea asked me if I'd take a picture of the kids using the wooden blocks so she'd have a picture for a Class she's teaching.  So Hudson will have a moment of fame this week!  Sorry no royalties!!  Haha!  (Remember that paper you signed?!  Ha!)  Hudson LOVES building like this and he gets very involved and focused in his work!!  It's so fun to watch them do something that really interests them or "turns their crank" as my Grandmother would say many years ago.  Hint: That was modern technology in 1920 when she was in her 20's.  Haha!  Good job Hudson!  And this morning you can see from the 2nd picture he started right back in building his towers.  He asked me, "What is it?"  So I just asked him, "What do you think it is Hudson?"  He said, "Sandcastle."  :)  Nice.

I obviously took this first picture looking into the mirror when Sophie and Hudson were in the chair or actually Sophie was driving the car!!  (Look at Sophie's hands.  Holding the steering wheel correctly at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock!)  I mean, look at Hudson's face!  A look of terror!  Haha!!  Get used to it Hudson!  Haha!!

We had fun outside and Sophie, Hudson, and Avi all were sitting on the big balls bouncing and "flying" off.  They were having lots of fun and laughing about it all!  Hudson was also doing this yesterday afternoon and laughing so hard.

Monday, August 7, 2017

Hudson - 8/7/2017

Hudson ate some of his breakfast: bran cereal and raisins.  For lunch he ate chicken from chicken salad, ate pita bread, olives, some cucumbers, tomato, and peppers, and ate his pears.

Hudson started his morning reading books and as you'll see in the next paragraph he continued with more books during Story Time.  After Sophie got here they were all at the window waving bye to Momma Molly.  As she drove by Hudson looked at Sophie and asked; "Is your Mommy going back to the lake?"  Haha!!

I love Hudson's interest in books and he gets so absorbed in them.  So much fun to read to him and let him get involved in the story too!  This next picture is from the book; "The Leaf Blew In."  This is the last page with no words, but I'll frequently ask questions.  It's fun to play with the questions and turn them around to see if the child is listening and can figure it out.  (Totally a cognitive exercise.) For example, I asked Hudson; "Who is sitting on the pig's back?"  He looked and quickly answered, "Duck."  Perfect.  "Ok, who's back is the squirrel sitting on?"  Totally a different type of question and he nailed it without hesitation! "Sheep."  :)  I'm impressed.  As you" already know, he LOVES his machines too!  His interest level doubled when I read the "Construction Site" book.  There are 5 different machines and he nailed them all; "crane, cement mixer, bulldozer, excavator, and dump truck."  Meanwhile, Sophie has totally lost interest and is squirming around.  Haha!  And that's life at the Daycare!!

We had fun outside and chased bubbles again.  (Picture below)  After that Sophie and Hudson were doing several games and when I took the last picture Sophie was asking Hudson, "Would you like a menu?"  :)  She asked me, "Do you want a cone or a cup?"  I said, "Bucket!"  She grinned and said, "How about a cone?"  Ok.

Friday, August 4, 2017

Hudson - 8/4/2017

Hudson had bites of brown rice and ate dried plums for breakfast.  For lunch he ate beef from the beef "kabobs," bites of brown rice, ate zucchini, bite of peppers, and ate lots of pineapple.  Hudson was SO excited when "Nora's Song" came on while he was waiting for lunch: "Nora's Song! Nora's Song!  Open the door Nora blue!!"  :)

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon.  I don't think Atley or Nora were awake from their nap yet when Reid build this blockade with some help from his sidekick assistant Bubba!  I asked Reid what they were doing and he said it was to keep "Atley and Nora from escaping!"  Well, ok I think it might work!  Haha!  Hudson sure enjoyed helping Reid on this project.

Hudson kind of started today where he left off yesterday - try to mimic everything Reid was doing this morning!  I thought this was cute when Reid was on the couch and said, "Hey Gary!  Look at this!"  And Hudson had to give it a shot too!  Nice try Bubba.

Outside Hudson was playing a game throwing the ball with Reid on the big climber.  I took the picture below just as Hudson had thrown the ball and it went sailing past Reid.  I think this picture is funny because it looks like Hudson is just standing there innocently watching the ball.  But he was the one who'd thrown it.  :)  Then he'd jump down, retrieve the ball, get back up there and throw it again.  Repeat and repeat.

Thursday, August 3, 2017

Hudson - 8/3/2017

Hudson ate most of waffle and bites of fruit salad for breakfast.  For lunch he ate "Shepard's Pie" which has hamburger, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes, and red potatoes.  He ate whole grain tortillas and 1 or 2 cherries.

We played outside for a long time this morning and the kids had lots of fun on the climbers, with the dump trucks, lawn mowers, and ice cream trucks.  They also played with the balls.  Hudson was trying to mimic everything Reid was doing and saying.  For example Reid threw the ball and said, "Oh my gosh I can throw the ball a long way!"  So then it was Hudson's turn.  It was pretty cute.  Then Reid grabbed 2 lawnmowers - one in each hand - and said, "I'm gonna run with two of these!" And took off running!  Ok, that stunt did not go so well for Bubba!!  :)

This first picture made me laugh!!  Hudson was very focused on building with the legos - which is super cool - he didn't even realize Nora was pestering him!!  (He frequently gets in the little "cubby hole" to work alone.)  He finally said, "HEY!!"  Ha!  In the 2nd picture you can see he moved to the couch and continued his work!  Like I've mentioned previously I LOVE how much he's been getting into building with legos and big blocks and his creativity is coming out!  When he was done with this piece he said, "I build this....for chasing bees."  Wow!  I'm impressed Hudson.  Well done!!

Wednesday, August 2, 2017

Hudson - 8/2/2017

Hudson ate french toast with peanut butter and bite of strawberry for breakfast.  For lunch he ate half of salmon patty, bites of dinner roll, ate his squash, and ate tropical fruit.

In this first picture Hudson is "feeding" the tail of the dinosaur into the mouth of the next dinosaur.  Hmm...I wonder if Nora is learning!?!  Haha!  Silly question, right!?  The next picture is proof.  :)  Kids in the Daycare have been doing this as long as I've had these dinosaurs!!  They just teach it to the next one and now Nora can pass it along!!

I've mentioned this several times and have included pictures - and here's another picture.  Hudson has really been enjoying the building blocks for several weeks now.  I love it when they get interested in one of the toys like this and stay engaged to figure out different ways to use the toys.  This was a "sidewalk" that he made.  Nice job of working hard at it Hudson and staying on task.

Sophie and Hudson were pretending to sleep on the climber outside.  Then they'd "wake up" and start playing again. One of the times they were laying there Sophie said, "Don't tell my Mom that I'm sick!"  Ha!!  Hudson was running across the yard and came over to where I was at.  He said, "I twist my knee and then I fell down."  That is advanced language (and concept) for a 2 year old!  :)

Hudson - 8/1/2017

Hudson had bites of toasted whole wheat english muffin and ate grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a bite or two of pork chop, bites of bread, ate beets, sweet potatoes, and applesauce.

Sophie was doing all kinds of dramatic play and Hudson was frequently a part of it of course.  Sometimes an integral part, sometimes on the fringes, and sometimes I'm not sure!  Haha!  Sophie was on the phone;  "Hello!! I need your help!  My Baby is sick and he had a bad dream last night!!"  Hudson was wanting to help and said, "I"m the doctor.  I go get a bandaid."  LOL!  Nothing like a bandaid to help your baby with nightmares!!

In this 1st picture Sophie had on her "ballet" attire and she was asking Hudson; "Bubba do you like my hair?"  Hmm...this may not end well!  You're gonna need to focus here Bubba!  Her volume increased!  "BUBBA!!  DO YOU LIKE MY HAIR!!??!!"   "What?"  Ok Hudson, I'm gonna give you a lesson in life skills!!  Just say YES!   :)

Here are a couple more pictures from this morning's activities.  Hudson and Avi wearing those hats again.  The toy Hudson is holding is the "viewfinder" toy I was describing yesterday with the animal pictures.  In the last picture Hudson is building another block tower.  He's been doing this quite a bit lately and it's fun to watch his brain at work.  :)  Well done Hudson.  He actually got it much taller and one time this morning enlisted Sophie's help as well.
