Hudson - 6/10/2016

Hudson ate cheerios and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a few bites of ground beef (he wouldn't pick it up and eat it, but he'd eat it when I poked it in his mouth), ate toast, nibble of apple bites, and ate the pears from the mixed fruit.

Hudson was pretty cuddly first thing this morning.  He was the first to arrive and we cuddled for at least 20 minutes before he was ready to get down.  (I call it "filling their love tanks.")  Daddy Colin commented on how Hudson's changed in that regard; a month ago he'd give you the stiff-arm if you tried to cuddle and now he's ready to cuddle almost anytime!  I totally agree and he's changing in lots of ways! He's really starting to understand language and I'm seeing many examples of that every day.  (That's called "receptive language" and is a necessary step before "expressive language.")

Cooper was playing our favorite game with the lids in this toy exchange.  The inside of the lids have mirrors and I always ask the kids if they want to see a monkey.  Coop was holding it up to Hudson and saying, "See the monkey!  See the monkey!"

We played outside for at least an hour this morning and here's a picture of Bubba at Avilene's saucer playing with the toys and practicing walking around it.  She gets excited when he's there too.

Here's a picture of one of Hudson's favorite hangouts this week.  Every day he's been crawling in one of the wagons and just hanging out and playing.
