Hudson arrived after breakfast about 10:00 with a new haircut. :) For lunch he ate meat (turkey) loaf, flat bread, carrots, and apricots. Most of the Blogs are based on Morning activities so this may be a bit shorter, but he was very busy after he arrived.
We read books, sang songs, he did some coloring on a coffee filter at Art, and he watched intently while we did some simple sign language. He likes coloring and he was interested in watching Reid spray water on his colored filter and seeing the colors "run."
He joined Sophie playing with some building blocks. He's becoming very adept at stacking them together.
Then I took this next picture when all three of them were playing with the pop-up toys. Hudson likes pushing them down after they "pop up" and he kept trying to sneak in on Reid or Sophie's toy. :)

Hudson - 9/22/2016
Hudson ate cinnamon toast and grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate baked chicken, dinner roll, hash browns, and half of canned cherries.
Picture # 1 - As you can probably tell by Hudson's expression he's not real thrilled by what Gary is doing!! But I had to do this just for Tutu!! Here's what Bubba said; "Help me Tutu!! Gary thinks he's SOOOOOO funny dressing me in a tutu for Tutu!!"
Sophie is not here today so while the babies were sleeping at the same time it was just Reid and Bubba hanging out. Reid was very sweet to him and played with Bubba a lot this morning. I took this next picture when Hudson was laying his head on the chair in front of Reid. Of course there was some drool running out of his mouth and puddled up on the chair. That's what the following picture is about - examining the drool. Reid said, "Ok! He just drooled on the chair and I have no way to escape!!" Haha!
Hudson strolled around with the play phones and was saying, "Momma, Momma, Momma." Finally Reid said, "I'm NOT your Momma Bubba!!" Ha! Even when our home phone rings Hudson says, "Momma." :) They also played with the building blocks and Reid said, "I'm building us a house Bubba!" And Hudson stacked a few blocks as well. I told Reid thanks for being so sweet to Hudson and he said, "When I talk to him he do the thing I want him to do!"

Hudson - 9/21/2016
Hudson had bites of bagel and no peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate ham, elbow (and rotini) noodles, corn, and apple bites.
I took these first two pictures yesterday afternoon. Hudson is pretty comfortable with the Cline girls, right!? :) They love him and the feeling is mutual. Too bad they aren't a bit older - Riley (especially) would make an awesome babysitter. (She's the one in the top picture for those that don't know her.) She's amazing with the little ones. She never gets flustered or upset when Baby Nora cries or has spit-up while she's holding her. Just yesterday, Kenzie yelled; "She puked on you!!" Riley never flinched. She just sat while I wiped her up (and the baby) and she continued to hold Nora. She told Kenzie; "You used to puke when you were a baby too!" Ha!
Hudson played with lots of stuff this morning; blocks, legos, food toys, and thumped on the xylophones! He and Avi are good playmates. She never squawks when he grabs a toy - usually he can't get it away from her anyhow!! Ha! She's definitely a little toughie!! He managed to get a block from her this morning, but it took both hands and she was hanging on with one hand. She had a handful of his hair today. He doesn't quite grasp the concept that he can get away from her. I tell him to "run" and she can't grab you!
I love this picture of Sophie putting a "Chef Hat" on Hudson. He really cooperates with her and the other kids. He just sat there until Sophie had the hat fixed just the way she wanted!

Hudson - 9/20/2016
Hudson ate half of his breakfast: waffle and pears. For lunch he ate tuna, crackers, sweet potatoes, and mandarin oranges. It's nice to have Hudson back after his 4 day weekend. Once again he quickly settled into the routine of Little Treasures. He was strolling around jabbering and when he saw Lauralea, "Hi Lor!" And blew her some kisses.
He knew breakfast time was close and he parked himself at the gate and started singing, "Night night Bubba, night night Bubba." Haha! That was super cute. I told him he had his "time zones" messed up; "You'll take a nap after Lunch, not Breakfast." :)
Here's a picture of Hudson playing with the toys on Baby Nora's saucer. He was having fun and giggling with her as well. You can see in the picture that his eyes are focused on her, not the toys. This is actually super helpful at times; keeps the Baby distracted while I'm heating her bottle, feeding someone else, etc.
Hudson loves playing with these big blocks and he played with them several times this morning. He worked hard at taking lots of them apart and then reassembling them as well. Baby Avilene is just the toughest little thing - and it's probably a good thing - because every time Hudson swung a block around she was usually front and center. Like most mornings, I never heard a whimper from her. (See the picture below!) She loves being in the middle of all the action!

Hudson - 9/15/2016
Hudson ate toasted sandwich thins and mixed berries for breakfast. For lunch he ate turkey slices, dinner roll, green beans, and mangoes. Avi was in her highchair during lunch and Hudson was pointing at her saying, "Av Av Av." Before breakfast Reid informed me; "Bubba said he don't want breakfast!" Haha!
Sophie is not here today so it was just Hudson and Reid with the two little ones. Hudson was going in the igloo while Reid was laying across the top of it. Then when Bubba was inside Reid would hang over the igloo opening and look at Bubba (upside-down) and Hudson thought that was so funny. He was laughing hard.
I took this picture when Reid was trying to give Hudson instructions on how to spin the accessory on the Baby's saucer. :) Actually Bubba was doing just fine with it, but I guess Reid thought he needed some additional help!
I took these next two pictures while the boys were doing Dot Painting at Art Time. I like the 2nd picture where Hudson is watching what Reid is doing, but just keeps on painting. :) It was pretty cool to watch Bubba because he would mimic the same strokes Reid was doing and then switch to thumping the paints when Reid would do it.
Hudson has been playing with these big blocks a lot lately. We've tried lots of different types of blocks over many years and these particular kind are winners! :) The Toddlers can manipulate them easily and the older kids never get tired of them either.

Hudson - 9/14/2016
Hudson ate two servings of whole wheat toast and a couple bites of cantaloupe for breakfast. For lunch he ate ham, crackers, bean & bacon soup, and ate strawberries.
I was telling Ryan (Baby Nora's Dad) that Hudson could say lots of words, but of course he's not about to perform on command. Ha! They rarely do! A few minutes earlier I had said, "Hey Bubba" and Hudson said, "Hey Bubba." So Ryan left and had barely shut the door when Hudson starts saying, "Bubba Bubba Bubba." :) I don't know how many times this morning he said, "Hi" and "Hello" to Lauralea. "Hello Lor Lor." "Hi Lor Lor."
I took this first picture yesterday afternoon when Reid was going around hugging the little ones. It was so sweet. Reid has a couple of "transformers" in his hands that Hudson is focused on. About the same time as I was taking this picture Reid said, "Uhhhh...Gary..He's poopy!" Haha! Thank you Reid!!
So this morning the identical thing happened as yesterday afternoon. I'm taking a picture of Reid giving Hudson a love and Reid said, "Uhhh...Gary..He's poopy!" Ha! Thanks for letting me know Reid! Hudson had just brought me one of the "flip-phones" so I'd open it for him. Reid said, "Oh Bubba, just open it!! Ha!
Bubba's language is certainly starting to take off and this is such a fun time! I really like how much he understands language as well. (Receptive language.) That's always a great indicator of expressive language. He listens to everything and will head for the gate, door, books, blocks...whatever we're talking about. He totally gets it. Love that.

Hudson - 9/13/2016
Hudson ate two servings of bagel and ate apricots for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken, half of whole wheat elbow noodles, ate peas, and applesauce.
It was fun to see Bubba after him being gone for a few days. It's fun to watch how the children get right back into the routines at Little Treasures and never miss a beat. Maybe just a little more spoiled from Grandma! (I said that just for you Tutu; not really true! Well not too much! Ha!)
At Hudson's age their development is happening at such a rapid pace that just a few days makes a big difference doesn't it!?! He was saying, "Hello hello" very clear so I had him saying, "Hello Lor Lor, hello Lor Lor" to Lauralea. Well done Hudson!
We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange while Hudson was gone so everything was new and different! He stayed very busy all morning. He found a toy he could thump on and that's always a winner for Bubba!! (See picture below! ha!) Note the cheesy smirk on his face too!
Hudson is a great observer and he was watching Reid build the "sidewalk" with the big blocks and he was wanting to help. He packed some blocks to Reid and then watched what Reid did with them. I took the picture below when Hudson was patting the end of the blocks like Reid was doing. (To set them into place. Very cute.)

Hudson - 9/7/2016
Hudson ate peaches and two servings of biscuits for breakfast. For lunch he ate baked beans, bites of dinner roll, most of peas, and most of pineapple.
Sophie had some doll blankets laid out for her "babies" and Hudson laid down on one and started chanting, "Night night, night night..." So cute. He played with the dress-up clothes, legos, and phones. Speaking of phones, whenever my phone rings Hudson says; "Momma, Momma." (His go-to phrase for everything!)
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when Kenzie and Riley came here from school. They already knew Hudson had the "hand foot mouth" thing and so it turned into a big game of running from Bubba! When I took this picture Riley (on left) was saying, "Oh No! He's looking at me!" It was funny and Bubba was enjoying the "game" as much as the rest of them.
Lauralea took this picture of Hudson snuggling with me this morning before she left for work. You'll notice Reid trying to stick his head in the picture. He said he was going to "photo bomb" us. He's learned that phrase from his two older brothers who are well known for that particular shenanigan. :)

Hudson - 9/6/2016
Hudson ate two servings of waffles and ate hash browns for breakfast. For lunch he ate chicken & cheese quesadilla, two servings of carrots, and most of mandarin oranges.
Hudson seemed excited to be back in his Daycare routine and was happy to see everyone else too. When Reid walked in he said, "Hi Momma!!" Haha! Avi was super excited to see him too! She was doing this "scrunchy face" thing she does - squints her eyes shut with a big cheesy grin. Super cute. She's happy to see you Bubba!!
Reid was only here for a couple of hours this morning, but he watched me change Hudson's diaper. He noticed the bumps or blisters (whatever they're called) and he said, "I wouldn't touch him if I was you!" Oh, I roared! That just cracked me up! Well, Hudson is probably thankful that I'm his Caregiver and not you Reid!!
Hudson played with lots of toys and frequently "checked in" with me for a love. He looked at books, played with the legos, and tried to assist Reid and Sophie in building some blocks. That didn't go so well! Ha!
I had him sit at the table for Art Time. He watched Sophie do some finger painting, but he just watched and wasn't about to stick his hands in it! (Which is just fine, quite typical, and age-appropriate.) Part of that hesitation could simply have been because I sat him at the table for the first time. I like the 2nd picture here where Sophie is showing him her hands.
