Hudson - 10/11/2016

Hudson ate bagel (maple flavored) and ate apricots for breakfast.  For lunch he ate chicken, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and applesauce.

I have a couple notes, including this first picture from yesterday afternoon.  When it was snack time I asked Hudson, "Are you ready for snack?"  He immediately heads for the gate saying, "snack, snack, snack."  Of course he wouldn't say it for Momma when she picked him up.  Then we went outside and Kenzie and Riley wanted to pick up leaves.  Hey, when the kids want to clean the yard I'm all for it!!  In the picture Riley is holding the garbage can so Hudson can deposit a leaf.

The picture below is another great illustration how well Hudson is understanding language and concepts.  The lid he is holding in his hand has a mirror that he's looking at.  In this toy set I'll tease the kids and hold the mirror in front of them and say something like; "see the monkey!"  Bubba's reaction is so cute and he knows I'm playing with him.  So when I had the camera I asked, "Hudson, where's the monkey?"  And you can see how he responded.  He immediately picked up the lid, turned it over, and looked at himself.  (Don't worry Tutu!  This will only require minimal counseling in later years to resolve!!  Ha!)  Earlier, Lauralea was in the room and Hudson pointed the mirror at her and said, "monk monk monk."  :)

This was the first time Hudson has played with the play dough and he did great poking it with the plastic utensils.  He only used the knife, fork, and one heart-shaped cookie cutter, but he stayed right there and played for at least 10 - 15 minutes.  It's so nice with these kind of activities that he doesn't put everything in his mouth.  He did try one nibble, but was NOT impressed.  Nice work Bubba!
