Hudson ate a few bites of breakfast: french toast and dried plums. For lunch he ate pulled pork sandwich (two servings of pork), ate peas, and bite of watermelon.
As Momma Molly was driving off this morning (after waving at the kids) Hudson said, "Bye Molly." Avi growled at him, "My Mom!!" So of course, Hudson HAD to say, "Bye Momma, bye Momma." Let's just say, Avi didn't like that at all! Haha! We quickly moved on to another (less volatile) activity! :)
Fed Ex delivered a package this morning and Hudson asked, "What's that guy's name?" I don't know! I forgot to ask! The next time someone brings a package to our door you can ask them their name! Hudson said, "Nooooo." :)
He remembers EVERYTHING we say!! Seriously! He will be acting silly and I'll tease him and say, "What's wrong with you!?!" This morning he was pestering me on the couch and then he looked at me and said, "What's wrong with you!?!" Haha! Perfect!! I asked; "What'd you do last night?" He said, "Played with Sula." I haven't heard him say that since Sophie left." :)
Here are a couple of pictures from this morning's activities: Hudson and Avi hurriedly cleared the toys off the shelves so they could convert them to bunk beds!

Hudson - 11/29/2017
Hudson ate whole wheat toast and two servings of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of ground beef with marinara sauce on whole wheat spaghetti noodles, ate his squash, and a large serving of fruit salad.
Nora was whining and moaning - wanting in the chair - and not wanting to wait until someone else left. Hudson went over to her and said, "You can play with me Nora." She didn't take him up on his offer (ha), but it was so sweet and he was trying to help. Then he took her a doll blanket (which he knows is a favorite toy of Nora's) and came back to tell me, "I gave her a blanket Gary." Yes, I saw that Hudson. Thank you for being a good friend to Nora and trying to help her. I took this first picture when he was leaning forward to talk to Baby Linnea. :)
This next picture: Hudson was trying to tell Avi something and she was messing with him; closing her eyes and pretending not to hear him. Haha! He was saying; "Avi! Open your eyes and look at me!!" (Repeat and repeat!!) She knows how to push your buttons Bubba!!
Hudson worked very hard at building towers this morning - quite creative in his structures I might add. He also read lots of books on the couch; primarily while waiting for me to read at Story Time! He likes the picture of Lauralea and I that hangs above the couch and he asks the same question every time; "Is Lauralea sitting on your lap?" Haha! The last picture: I put Baby Linnea on the floor for some "tummy time" and Atley immediately went over and lay down beside her. Of course Avi and Hudson soon joined them. This actually only lasted a few moments and the older ones were off to something else. And I monitored it very closely in case anyone is overly concerned about the Baby! Linnea has a brother at home about Hudson's age so she is already adjusted to having kids close to her. :)

Hudson - 11/28/2017
Hudson ate half of whole wheat bagel serving and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate shrimp, half of brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and ate raspberries. I don't believe I mentioned it yesterday, but I LOVE Hudson's haircut! It is adorable. (Yes, I'm biased about buzz cuts for little boys! It makes them look like a.....little boy!! Ha!)
The boy and his vocabulary!! I love how he's now playing with words as well. This morning he had just finished going potty and he was walking down the hallway saying, "1 2 3 wave pee, 1 2 3 wave pee." What the heck? If he was intentionally rhyming, which is what it appeared to be, he is very young for that. We've had many many kids going on to Pre-school who were not able to rhyme words, not to mention creating their own little ditty!! Geez!!
So speaking of words: I was busy putting breakfast on the table and Lauralea was preparing to leave. Hudson told her; "Gary doesn't know what he's talking about." LOL! What!? You can just keep those kind of thoughts to yourself Bubba! :)
He and I were having a guy conversation about my new shoes. "Where'd you get your shoes?" He asked. From Zappos.com. Are you familiar with them? "No." Where do you get your shoes? "Grocery store." Oh really? Frozen foods or meat department? "Meat." Good choice Hudson. :)
More words about the baby. Everything about the baby is "small" or "tiny." Yesterday it was her "tiny nose." Today it is her thumb. "She's sucking on her tiny thumb." :) We also read lots of books, sang songs, and the kids played on the mattress a lot just like they do everyday!! Here are a couple of pictures from Hudson's morning activities.

Hudson - 11/27/2017
Hudson ate bran cereal and a couple of raisins for breakfast. For lunch: From his chicken salad he ate chicken, olives, half of tomatoes, bite of cucumber. He ate avocado and two servings of pears. He ate pita bread too. He was waiting for his lunch plate and asked, "Where's my meal?" I've heard lots of kids say, "Where's my food?!?" But not, "Where's my meal?" Haha! Oh Bubba.
I had an awesome time in Louisiana with my precious daughter and her husband. (He's a great guy too!!) I just have to include a couple pictures from my trip - I'm limiting it to just two pictures, ha! So here are a couple that are quite different from what we see in Montana and they typify the State of Louisiana!! 1st picture: Love these boats and I'm going on a ride up some bayous on my next trip there! 2nd picture: My daughter only lives about 40 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico and any houses right on the Gulf waters are built high!!
Hudson went over and sat by Baby Linnea - or as he still calls her "Ba-nay." He studied her and said, "She has a tiny nose." More observations and questions! "How did Ba-nay get here?" Her Dad. "What's his name?" So I asked him if he remembered; "Hmm...Nic?" That's very close! Eric. (Hudson has only met Eric once or twice so I was impressed by his guess.) He continued to look at the Baby and said, "She looked with her eyes and she looked at me." :) In this next picture I turned around and these two had moved the yellow bench over here and sat down to read some books! Shortly after I took the picture Hudson was reading/singing "Baby Beluga" to Avi. She knows it too of course, but she was just listening to him. That was cute. We had so much fun just hanging out, reading books, and enjoying being together again!
I was sitting on the couch and Hudson and I were playing and he kept sticking his head between my ankles and I'd squeeze them and then ask; Do you know what this is? "No." It's a rat trap and I caught a rat! (We've played that silly game for a long time.) Later, he had one of the dolls squeezed between his knees and I heard him say, "Got my baby in a rat trap." LOL! Yes, it was a proud moment! Good job Bubba!

Hudson - 11/16/2017
Hudson ate bite of whole wheat bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast. For lunch he ate two servings of pizza: whole wheat crust, tomato sauce, hamburger, olives, peppers, and pineapple. He also ate pineapple on the side. Speaking of food, yesterday we had leftover grapes with our snack and Hudson kept asking for "gum drops, more gum drops please!" FYI: if you hear him say that with grapes it came from Kenzie and Riley. I cut all the grapes in half and according to the Cline girls those resemble gum drops! :)
Ok everyone! Here's another reminder that I am leaving tomorrow for the airport about 10:30 am. I will be here at the Daycare until that time. Lauralea will cover for me tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday. Little Treasures is closed Wednesday the 22nd - Friday the 24th for Thanksgiving. There will be NO BLOGS until I'm back for Daycare on Monday the 27th. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! I'm SO very thankful to be able to go to Louisiana to see my daughter and her husband. (And wear shorts during November!)
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when Kenzie had built this wall in front of the changing table. Hudson is inside on the bottom shelf and Riley is on the top shelf. They were in there for a long time! Nora and Avi are peeking through a window. Or as Kenzie called it; "air hole."
Here are a couple of pictures from this morning. In the fist picture Hudson was singing one of our songs; "There was a Mommy had a boy.....and Hudson is his name...H U D S O N......" :) Last picture; Hudson is talking to our newest Little Treasures family member: Baby Linnea. Hudson said, "I asked if she wanted a toy." What'd she say? "Nope." :)

Hudson - 11/15/2017
Hudson ate whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate pork roast, bites of whole grain tortilla, ate vegetables (carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes), and two servings of fruit salad. Hudson was not really fazed by the events around breakfast, but I'm gonna post this so you get a feel of what was going on during breakfast time; It was a little chaotic during breakfast time; especially for Nora. We had a situation with the sump pump in the basement yesterday and the plumber was scheduled to be here at 8:00 this morning. Well of course he showed up about 45 minutes late - about the same time as Hudson, Avi, and Nora. Thank goodness it was a quick fix (like I thought it might be) and he was done by 9:20 while we were still eating breakfast. So what was the problem you ask!? Well Nora saw his face! Yikes! Poor Nora was screaming because I was not in the lunch room and she couldn't see me. Baby Linnea had fallen asleep in the Baby chair and I was putting her sleeper on her so she could go to bed and she was crying. Poor Linnea. "Sorry," I said to the plumber, "It's not usually like this! (Pause) Sometimes it's worse!" (Humor!) I'm sure he'll never try to get his child into Little Treasures! Ha!
Last night I found this "score card" in the lunch room where Kenzie and Riley were doing some art after snack yesterday. I have no idea what it was - Kenzie is always creating a game of some sort - but if "low score" wins then Nora, Avi, and Gary rocked this game. Knowing how Kenzie thinks I'm sure that is NOT the case. :) So I'm guessing Hudson was the big winner! I wonder if he was aware of that!?! Ha! I thought this was really cute.
Hudson was sitting on my lap and some music was playing on the iPod. "What's this song about?" Hudson asked me. "It's just music; no words." He continued; "What's this music about?!?" Haha! I said, "relaxation; just relax." Haha! (As he was squirming about my lap!!) He was playing with some food toys and asked; "Gary is there bagel in this toy exchange?" "No there isn't." Utter disbelief! "There isn't!?!?" "No." Cracked me up!! (No bagel in any of our 8 sets of toy exchange food toys! Boy that would cause him some concern!!) At the lunch table I'd sat the lid for the fruit salad on the table in front of him. He pointed at it and said, "Gary, you lost the lid for that." LOL! Next picture; Atley made it back!! Nice to have you back!!
I asked if they all wanted to see Linnea on the monitor!! "YEAH!!" Here's a picture of that occasion! :) Not really what they had in mind to "see the baby," but it's the best we could do at the moment! So the last picture shows the baby hanging out with her new friends!

Hudson - 11/14/2017
Hudson ate a few bites of breakfast: toasted whole wheat english muffin and dried plums. For lunch he ate chicken, a bite or two of brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and ate his oranges. At lunch Hudson was asking about every vegetable in the stir fry mix; "What's this Gary, what's this Gary?" (sugar snap peas, green beans, water chestnuts, broccoli, carrots and more) And he was eating each one as he asked me. His curiosity helped Avi be curious as well and she was also eating all of hers. Very cool. Except her curiosity was like this; while Hudson was pointing at the food on his plate she opened her mouth and said, "What's this Gary?" Your teeth. (My amazing humor is frequently lost on these 2 year olds!!) So she reworded the question; "What's in here!?" :) Mush.
Well how often do we talk about Hudson's vocabulary!? :) I love it and the boy basically talks non-stop so there is endless possibilities to evaluate his ability to talk! Ha! He was building with the big blocks and just jabbering - I couldn't hear much, but I did hear him say, "Hudson Thomas Boyle." :) Then he was playing with the drums and the drum sticks are attached by strings. He said, "This is kind of tangled." I like that word Hudson. He was putting on dress-up slippers and most kids that age yell, "help!" Hudson said, "Gary, can I have some help with the slipper?" Well ok, seeing as you worded it so wonderfully! :) And his silliness comes out too of course. At breakfast he looked at the english muffin and said, "Well hi muffin. What are you doing at Gary's house?" LOL
During Story Time Nora got off the couch and went behind the igloo to poop. It was hard not to laugh because she had one cute little eyeball peering around the corner at me to see if I'm watching. So funny. Well, after she was done and story time was over Hudson went behind the igloo and said, "Nora hiding here?" Yes, behind the igloo. What do you think she was doing back there? Hudson said, "Showing off." LOL! That kid cracks me up!!
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. Everyone else had left so Hudson had Kenzie's (Riley was still here) personal attention which he loves of course. And she is very good to Hudson! Lots of fun! Next picture; hydrating with Nora! :) And a little 'blind jumping' in the last picture! We also read lots of stories and did stickers at Art.

Hudson - 11/13/2017
Hudson ate half of his cheerios and ate banana for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef, whole grain pita bread, no lettuce or tomato, ate bites of avocado, and ate cantaloupe.
The new baby, Linnea, is here today and she was pretty fussy when Hudson and Nora arrived (at the same time)! She was getting very tired and scrubbing her eyes and a short time later she was asleep! Nora and Hudson stared at her like she was a foreign creature and it was so funny! The look on Hudson's face was classic and made me laugh so much. "This is NOT what I was expecting Baby Ba-nay to be like!!" :)
I apologize for the blurriness of this first picture! My camera is starting to have issues! So I'll probably start using the camera on my phone and see how that goes! It was just SO cute when Nora took off her socks and immediately turned around and handed them to Hudson. "Here you go Hudson!" He knew exactly what to do; he accepted them, got off the couch, and took them to the changing table! Thank you Bubba! Someday she'll be able to reach up there! I thought it was funny how she just skipped the step of trying to reach up there herself! She's pretty smart!
It was fun to see you all at Avi's Birthday Party yesterday. Hudson said, "My birthday balloon fly away!" I'm assuming he lost it on the walk home. Did that make you sad? "Yeah." Did that make you happy? "Yeah." Did you cry? "No." I'm anxious to hear the rest of the story from Momma tonight! :) We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and the drums were the first thing Hudson played with this morning!
These last two pictures were so funny when I started to listen to what Hudson was saying on the phone. Avi had been playing with the food toys and I heard Hudson saying something on the phone about "syrup." (And there is a "syrup" toy in this set.) So I asked Hudson who he was talking to. He said, "Emergency guy." I said, "What happened to Avi?!?" Bubba said, "Her ankle." Then he held the phone up to Avi's ear and said, "Say hi to the emergency guy." Avi said, "Hi emergency guy!!" Haha! I was laughing so hard!

Hudson - 11/10/2017
Hudson ate bites of breakfast: brown rice and raisins. For lunch he ate bites of salmon, ate whole wheat dinner roll, large serving of corn, and a taste of mangoes.
I was thankful that Lauralea covered for me yesterday and I got lots of work done in Plains. Lauralea told me last night she was glad I have my job and she has her job! Haha! Me too!! It was a busy day for her yesterday, but so far she's still agreeing to cover for me so I can leave for Louisiana next Friday. :)
Avi arrived about 11:00 this morning and she was here for probably at least 3.5 seconds before she and Bubba were in a squabble!! Ha! Lauralea told me she thought it was pretty much a 50/50 split between those two who was the instigator of their conflicts yesterday! Yup, I agree. My assessment is about the same!! :)
Hudson was totally thrilled when he found out Cooper is here all day today! The two pictures below basically depict the entire morning! Seriously! Not much to write about! Ha! I don't think Hudson even went on the other side of the room where the toys are at! Cooper asked if he could get out the "big bears" and those bears were the center of attention all morning. Nora wasn't too interested in what Cooepr and Hudson were doing so she spent most of morning on the other side of the room. (With the exception of the first picture!)

Hudson - 11/8/2017
Hudson ate most of his breakfast: french toast and strawberries. For lunch he ate half of paleo stew with hamburger and vegetables (green beans, carrots, cauliflower, and broccoli). He ate his crackers and a large serving of tropical fruit.
Reminder: There will be NO BLOGS tomorrow November 9th. Lauralea is covering for me all day while I work on my property in Plains. Blogs will resume on Friday! Also, Kenzie and Riley get out of school at 11:00 Thursday morning so tomorrow will be a fun day for the Daycare kids. I may as well do another reminder here!! The new Baby starts on Monday the 13th (Avi's Birthday) and the Blogs will continue as usual. However, her eating and sleeping schedule will problaby alter the times when Blogs are posted! Just keep checking if the Blogs aren't here at their usual times! They will get posted by 2:45 at the latest!
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon after snack and Kenzie and Riley were here as well. When I took this picture all 5 of the kids were in the tunnel. They had so much fun going through here over and over. Then Hudson joined Kenzie and Riley doing a gymnastics performance as well: running across the room and flopping on the mattress. :)
All three kids were huddled together this morning playing with the legos farm animals and the barn! By the way, there happens to be TWO more of the barns identical to the one in the picture, but the one being used by another child (which was Hudson) is always the most interesting one!! :) Hudson said, "Hey Gary! Avi's helping me build my farm!"

Hudson - 11/7/2017
Hudson ate waffle and grapes for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of baked chicken, ate whole grain tortillas, taste of cabbage salad, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples.
Hudson said the funniest thing to Nora this morning. She sucks her thumb frequently and today he said, "Sucking on your thumb?" (In the form of a question.) Then he said, "That's what you're drinking!" Haha! I roared. I wasn't sure I'd heard him correctly so I asked for a clarification and that's what he said. So I said, "That's a good one!" He agreed and said, "That is a good one." Ha! :)
I took the first picture as soon as Avilene started giving Hudson a ride in the swivel/rocker. He wasn't being the most grateful rider! He immediately started demanding more speed!! :) "Faster, faster, faster!!" We read lots of books, sang songs, and did some Dot Painting at Art Time.
Hudson had asked Nora, "Wanna hug?" She immediately stopped and went for the hug. It was so cute. So I got the camera and asked Hudson if he'd ask her again if she wanted a hug. That's when I took the last picture. She obviously was willing for anther hug!! Hudson said, "She laid her head right on my shoulder." So cute!

Hudson - 11/6/2017
Hudson ate two servings of kix cereal and ate mixed fruit for breakfast. For lunch he ate half of turkey burger, ate hamburger bun, no tomato, half of avocado, and no cherries.
The first thing Hudson did this morning was build towers and houses with the big legos blocks!! The boy loves his building with the blocks!! Then he decided it was time to teach Nora how to jump off the blue balance beam. Hey, Kenzie taught him how to jump, so he's gonna pass on the favor! Hmm. Only one problem - no one bothered to ask Nora what she thought! Haha! Let's just say she wasn't impressed or in favor of the idea!
We were reading books and we hadn't yet read "Mary had a Little Lamb," but I asked him this question and I intentionally worded it in a difficult and convoluted way; "Where did Mary's Lamb follow her to?" He immediately answered, "school." :) The boy understands language!! You're amazing Hudson. He said, "I am amazing." Haha! No argument from him!
The last 2 pictures: Hudson said, "I'm barbecuing!" Then he put some food on a plate and took it to Avilene. It must have been good because she came back for more! I think the last picture is so cute; Avi went over and looked at the doll in the sink and asked Hudson (who was still barbecuing),
Avi: "Your Baby?"
Hudson: "Don't touch her; He's resting!" (You saw the bold pronouns right!?)
Gary: LOL! Ok, so his language is not yet perfect!!

Hudson - 11/3/2017
Hudson ate oatmeal and a few apple bites for breakfast. For lunch he ate hamburger stew with carrots, potatoes, and green beans. He ate dinner roll and two servings of apricots.
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon when Kenzie noticed it was snowing so she got some jingle bells for everyone (which just happen to be in this toy rotation) and they were all lined up at the window watching it snow while Kenzie (on right) and Riley (left) led them in singing; "Jingle Bells!" Super cute!!
The story behind this next picture: We'd been reading books and one of the stories is about building a house and they were using a forklift to move piles of lumber around. Hudson put these blocks together and said, "I'm building a forklift!" :) He answered so many questions at Story Time today that I asked him frequently; "Do you have this book at home!?!" Ha!
Hudson builds something every day and I love it when he gets so engaged in his projects. His creations are getting more elaborate and it's fun to watch him work. A few minutes before I took this picture Hudson had apparently taken something and Nora was yelling at him. (And that's one reason I like it when he is engaged in building something!! Ha!) Hudson said, "Hmmm... Nora didn't like me taking her stuff." :) It's so much fun to have a child that's an early talker!! :)

Hudson - 11/2/2017
Hudson ate bites of french toast and one or two dried plums for breakfast. For lunch he ate pulled pork sandwich, peas, and two servings of cantaloupe. At the breakfast table Hudson said, "Hey Gary, can I talk to you?" Sure Hudson, but the fact remains that you already talk to me pretty much nonstop!! Ha! What do you want to talk about? He said, "When you a baby." Wow! Very cute question. Well Bubba, once upon a time..... :)
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. Kenzie had put everyone's name on a piece of paper and then she had Riley draw the lucky winner from the bowl! I like how Riley is intentionally looking elsewhere! No cheating here!! Each child was awarded a medal on the basis of this drawing! Ha! She wrote on their paper/medal whether they got 1st, 2nd, 3rd... (Kenzie just recently won a medal as her soccer team won a tournament! So she's really into the medal thing right now!) These girls frequently include the little ones in their fun games after school. Not sure how your child placed, but it could have been worse - Poor Atley didn't place in the top 3 and Kenzie told her "You're just gonna have to work harder Atley!!" Not sure what "hard work" had to do with this drawing! :) The whole thing was really cute and funny. (Atley - and the rest of them - really had no clue about their "placing" so no feelings were hurt in this game!!)
I took this next picture when Hudson was patting Nora on the head and saying/asking, "Is it pretty, is it pretty, is it pretty!?!" Ha! Then he expounded a bit and started saying things like, "Don't pull your pony out, don't pull your pony out." He's probably heard me saying that!!
The story behind the last picture: Avi was laying her head on this Monte pillow and said, "I'm comfy." Then she grabbed the doll blanket, went over to where Hudson was at, and asked him to cover her. As he was covering her he said, "Good night Sweetie." Isn't that cute?!

Hudson - 11/1/2017
Hudson ate half of whole wheat toast and had a bite of mangoes for breakfast. For lunch he ate ground beef with marinara sauce, two servings of noodles, bite of squash, and two servings of fruit salad.
A couple of leftover notes from yesterday afternoon: Hudson was watching me fold some paper and he said, "I wrote you a note." I said, "Well thank you. What did the note say?" He said, "I love at your Daycare." Ohhhh, Bubba, that is so sweet. He continued; "My Mom and Dad said I can write a note to my Gary." Well that made my heart melt!! :)
He followed that up with this: "Nora laid her head on my shoulder so I gave her a hug." Then he added; "She was tired." Haha! Not exactly what the picture says, but it's so cute and sweet!!
In the first picture from this morning Nora was just playing with Hudson's hand and fingers. It looks like she's doing a little palm-reading! Haha! I thought of all kinds of hilarious (my opinion of course!) captions for this picture, but you probably already know what I'm gonna say - you've only heard it a few dozen times already! Nora said, "In your future Hudson I see a business called "Bubba's Tax Service!" :)
So here's the story behind the last picture: The kids did some coloring with markers and then we did some leftover halloween stickers too. Hudson's coloring is more deliberate now - not just fast coloring and making scribbles. It's becoming more representational - depicting an image. So we were basically done when I took the picture and they were ready to leave. So I said, "Point to your favorite sticker!" (It was my intent to make the picture look like they were still doing some art! Haha!!) Avi is showing Nora which sticker she should be pointing to!!
