Hudson ate bites of breakfast: toasted whole wheat english muffin and dried plums. For lunch he ate chicken, most of brown rice, ate stir fry vegetables, and three servings of oranges. These were better oranges and the kids loved them!
These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon and I wanted you to see an example of what the after school girls do with the little ones. They built this three-sided block structure around the front of the igloo with an access hole in the front. (In the first picture Avilene is exiting through the access hole! ha!) Nora is watching Avi leave, Atley is looking at a book, Hudson and Kenzie are already in the igloo. They had books in there to read to the kids. The 2nd picture is just taken from the top looking down into it. (Hudson is actually in the igloo in both pictures.)
We also read lots of books, did some dot painting, and going through the colors. Hudson is doing pretty well with them and can get them when he takes the time to think about it! There are different ways to phrase the question obviously, but this morning I was saying, "Can you show me blue?" And he'd point to the color on the color poster.
I took this next picture shortly after Hudson arrived this morning - still had his hoody over his head! Look how Baby Linnea is grinning at him. She is such a sweet and mellow baby! She grins all the time and loves the kids. She has a brother who is 2 months younger than Hudson so she is used to a busy little person being all around and close to her. Hudson was piling all the stuffed animals around her head like you see in the last picture. He said, "I'm playing with the baby."
