Hudson - 3/30/2018

Hudson ate bites of brown rice and raisins for breakfast.  For lunch he ate salmon, dinner roll, green beans, and two servings of mangoes.  Hudson said, "That's good salmon Gary!"  Moments later; "Who cooked the salmon Gary?"  Lauralea.  Thank you Lauralea.  Also at the meal table we could hear the neighbor's dog (Tag) barking.  Hudson said, "Well at least we're not outside and Tag bugging us!"...."And we're not bugging Tag!"  :)

At Story Time I was picking out some books and Hudson kept asking me for a book and I couldn't get what he was saying!!  Over and over we tried!!  Finally I said, "Avi, do you know what book he is asking for?"  She immediately answered!!  Haha!!  "Froggie went a courtin!!"  Thank you Avilene!!(Next time feel free to jump in earlier!!  Ha!)

Yesterday I talked about how Linnea is a great baby, mild temperament, super congenial and social.  And I said that makes her a fun baby for the other kids in the daycare and they all love her.  Well this morning I realized I was taking pictures of her with every child.  I counted and there are 7 pictures of Linnea in the Blogs and she's in everyone's Blog!!  Ha! I love how she basically reacts the same to all of the kids and she loves them all!  It's adorable!!  This first picture is one I took yesterday afternoon and Hudson was playing with the baby.  I grabbed the camera and asked him; "Can you lay beside the baby just like you were?"  It was so cute and he did it the exact same way!!  Good work Hudson and thank you!!  Love this picture!!

Pictures from this morning: We were building a house with the big blocks and in the last picture Hudson was crawling through the opening under the legos table.  And Linnea was there to greet him!

Hudson - 3/29/2018

Hudson ate most of toasted whole wheat english muffin and a bite of oranges for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef, whole wheat elbow noodles, peas, and two servings of applesauce.  At the lunch table Hudson and Avi were saying, "Thank you Lauralea, thank you Lauralea."  Then they ran with it and were saying anything they could think of!  "Thank you eyeball!" (Avi)  "Thank you Buckwheat!" (Hudson)  And on and on!  :)

Before breakfast Hudson was quizzing me about the meals for today.  And of course he can remember lots of them. I told him we were having elbow noodles.  He asked, "Are we having applesauce?"  Yup; what vegetable do you think goes with that meal?  He thought about that for several seconds - "peas?"  Yup, right again!!  :)

What!?!  Mom didn't spike your hair today!?!  Come here Bubba, I have some of that hair goop stuff just for you!  :)

Avi asked if she could crawl under the legos table.  "Can I crawl under here?"  Well of course.  Hudson said, "That's a safe place to hide.  No monsters, no mommies, no anything!"  Hahaha!  When Hudson was under there (next picture) Avi peeked at him; "Peek-a-boo!"  He said, "Come find me Avi!"...."You are great finder Avi!"....."Come find me Avi!"  She got tired of that and said, "No."  Then as she was walking off she said, "See you tomorrow!"  LOL!  So stinking cute.

Last picture; Avi and Hudson were putting hats on Linnea and they did it over and over.  Linnea is a great baby, mild temperament, and is super congenial and social.  Which makes her a fun baby for the other kids in the daycare.  They all love her.  She has a brother at home about the same age as Hudson so she is very well adapted to up-close and personal attention from little people!!  :)  Avi said, "You're a crazy baby!!"  Ha!!

Hudson - 3/28/2018

Hudson ate french toast and strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate everything: Paleo stew with meat, broccoli, sweet potatoes, carrots, and green beans.  He also ate 4 crackers and his tropical fruit. At breakfast Hudson looked at Nora and said, "We been missing you all week!!"  Haha!  I asked, "why?"  "Because she's been gone!"  (Not accurate.)  You crack me up Bubba!!  Also at breakfast Avi was being silly and closed her eyes and started saying, "I can't find Atley; I can't find Nora."  And she went around the room and said everyone, including herself.  Of course Hudson joined her and then they were running with it and saying it about everything.  Bubba said, "I can't find my glass of wine!"  LOL!  I roared!!

I'm gonna put this in everyone's Blog;  The days and weeks go by so fast, but I frequently try to tell everyone how much I love your kids and I love what I do.  I have the most awesome families at Little Treasures and I'm super attached to all of you!  All of your children have their own strengths and challenges and I count myself blessed to work with them and care for them.  Thank you!!

Atley and Hudson were doing puzzles and Atley was singing.  I was curious if Hudson could identify the song Atley was singing; I thought she was right on tune so I asked him.  He almost immediately said, "Mulberry Bush."  :)  Yup, that's right.  Then Hudson was laying by Linnea and playing with her and she grabbed his hair and then his ear.  Ha!  He said to me, "She has her own ears."  Yes, but it's way more fun to pull on yours!!  :)

At 8:35 this morning Hudson said, "Gary, How was your day?"  Haha!!  Well, so far so good!  "What did you do?"  I took the car to Lithia at 6:30 this morning and walked home!  "What else did you do?"  Ha!  Check in later and I'll get you up to date Bubba!!  Here's a good one for you all to enjoy!!  Hudson looked at me and asked, "How did your tummy get so full!?!"  LOL!!  A lifetime of careful and precise engineering Bubba!!  :)

Here are a couple pictures from this morning.  We did some coloring on coffee filters while the babies were sleeping and then sprayed them with water.  (The pictures, not the babies!!)  In the last picture Hudson had rocking duties while I was putting food on the lunch trays.  He said, "She likes to rock."  Then he said (at least 2 times - mimicking what he'd heard me saying earlier), "She's just a doll."  I agree!!

Hudson - 3/27/2018

Hudson ate two servings of waffle and ate his grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate baked chicken, bites of whole grain tortillas, ate a large serving of corn, and two servings of baked cinnamon apples.

Ok, I have permission from Momma Molly to post a picture of Svea in everyone's Blog.  Thanks Molly!  This is Avi's little sister!!  She is here today and again tomorrow and then will be here full-time starting in the middle of April.  So if your Blog seems late today here is the primary reason.  She is a doll and I'm already in love.  So precious.  So I want to remind everyone at this point, the general time frame for the Blogs are around 12:30 - 2:45.  If the Blogs are not posted by 3:00 then it's been a very busy day!!

Hudson said, "Hey Gary! My leg is very dry."  Ok, we can put it under the faucet!  :)  He said, "Uhhhh..no.  At my house before I go to bed I put lotion on it."  Oh, that's a great idea.  :)  Later, Lauralea came upstairs to get some breakfast.  She works from home on Tuesdays and on her way back downstairs she said, "I'm gonna go back to work."  Hudson said, "Then are you gonna go to your real work?"  :)

Hudson is a one-man "amen corner" for me!  Haha!  Explanation: when I'm "preaching" to the kids he always chimes in with his words of approval too!  This morning I told Atley; "Keep your spit in your mouth!"  Hudson said, "Yes (or amen) that's the rules!!"  Haha!  Thanks Hudson.

Here are a couple pictures from this morning: Hudson loves playing close to Linnea.  He said, "She is so cute.  I like how she waves."  Me too Hudson.  She waves a lot and it is cute.  And in the last picture Hudson and Atley were doing more puzzles - and so was Avi.  Later, Avi was putting her Baby to sleep on the shelf and she said, "That guy needs to sleep!"  Haha!  Then Hudson told Avi; "That Baby likes you!"  :)  Hudson also said, "Hey Avi!  It's time to go to the battlefield!"  LOL!!  Avi said, "Ok, I'm ready."  So I asked, "What are you going to do there?"  Hudson said, "Soccer....basketball."  That's comedy!

Hudson - 3/26/2018

Hudson ate kix cereal and bites of mixed fruit for breakfast.  For lunch he ate turkey burger, most of whole wheat hamburger bun, no salad with lettuce, carrots, and tomatoes with ranch dressing, ate half of avocado serving, and no cherries.  After Lunch he said, "Can I have a drink for the road?"  Haha! He remembers everything he hears!!

Here is a leftover picture (obviously NOT Hudson) from Friday: We had blueberries for snack and Nora loves her blueberries! Hudson said, "Nora has blueberry makeup!!"  (He gets that remark from Kenzie and Riley, although it's been several weeks since I've heard them say it.)  Then he made the same remark at Lunch today, except a different fruit!  Haha!  "Look Gary!  Cherries makeup!"

Hudson asked; "Do you like basketball?"  Yes.  "Do you like Michigan State?"  Haha!  Well I did in 1979 when Magic Johnson and the Spartans won the national championship...."  But the best part was when the Lakers got him!!  Hmm...Hudson seems to have lost interest in my speech!!  :)  (I know someone in your family went to Michigan State - Colin's Mom?)

Here are some pictures from the morning activities.  We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend so the kids had a busy morning.  Atley recruited Hudson to help her with some boots and he tried, but couldn't get it on.  He finally said, "Well actually you need to do it yourself!"  Ha! Which about broke her heart (she started crying) so I helped her and she was happy with the results!  :)  The kids had fun with the new puzzles as well and in the middle picture Hudson had been pointing to the spots where Nora needed to put the pieces, but she'd hand it off to him when she was struggling too much.  I had to take a picture of Hudson's hair to post on his blog as well.  It looked pretty stinking cute if you ask me!!

Hudson - 3/23/2018

Hudson ate most of kix cereal and most of baked cinnamon apples for breakfast.  For lunch he ate most of hamburger stew with meat, carrots, green beans, tomatoes, and potatoes.  He also ate apricots and half of dinner roll.  The kids didn't seem to notice or care that the baked apples at breakfast were loaded with cinnamon.  Kenzie and Riley helped Lauralea fix them yesterday and well...that's just what happened!  :)  Then at Lunch Hudson asked me; "What'd you do today Gary?"  "Uhhh, I got out of bed, shave, coffee, treadmill, and more."  Giving him LOTS of details - thinking maybe he'd get bored!!  Haha!  Except I knew better than that!  "Then what'd you do?"  More details.  "Then what'd you do?"  More details.  And he was really listening!  So cute.  "And we're going to a movie tonight?"  "What movie?"  I didn't tell him! "Death Wish" with Bruce Willis!  Haha!!

The lady that monitors the Food Program was here today checking my charts, freezer temp, refrigerator temp, checking the menus, and more.  The kids generally enjoy someone coming, but it can be stressful for kids with certain temperaments too.  (Think Nora.)  :)  Atley, on the other hand is friendly to everyone and comfortable with all!!  Atley and Hudson were at the gate jabbering to her like she was their best buddy so that was good.  Ha!

Hudson has been working hard to do the "I Love You" sign and he's got it.  That is not easy for this age group to make their fingers do some of the signs!!  (Look close and you'll see 3 fingers extended. Ok, 2 fingers and a thumb.)

Here's another group picture of the kids looking in the crib at Baby Linnea when we went to get her from her morning nap.  I tried to get a picture of all four looking into the crib, but that never worked and I took several pictures!  Haha!!  (Three out of four looking in the crib is still pretty good!!)  All the toys and stuff around the room are too interesting to ignore!!  The last picture was obviously taken during art time and they were having fun doing some dot painting.  Avilene was being somewhat rowdy when I took the picture (waving the dot painter above her head) and she had Hudson's attention as well.

Hudson - 3/22/2018

Hudson ate french toast and chewed on a dried plum for breakfast.  (And then asked permission to spit it back onto plate. You gave it a good try Hudson!)  For lunch he ate two servings of pulled pork,  ate whole wheat toast, a large serving of peas, and ate watermelon.

All my pictures today are "group" pictures and I love that!  It means I can "copy and paste" for the Blogs!  :)  This first picture was taken yesterday afternoon after I fed Baby Linnea.  (She's on the floor in the 2nd picture.)  I just want everyone to see how well the kids can clean up the room entirely on their own!!  I never helped with anything...here's how the routine goes.  I was preparing to feed the baby and I said we can go outside after the room is cleaned up and after I feed the baby.  I started singing our "clean-up" song and they immediately kicked it into gear!  A lot of the motivation is to go outside, but there is also the routine aspect associated with singing the same song.  (And I'd be happy to share the tune with anyone interested!!)  They did awesome.  Good job Hudson!!

The primary attraction this morning for probably 20 minutes were the street sweepers!  Geez!  I've never seen them spend so much time going over and over the same area!  Which was just awesome because it was major entertainment for the children at Little Treasures!!  Hudson kept yelling, "Here it comes again!!"  However, after they went past about the 8th time I was beginning to wonder if our window was going to withstand the beating!!  Haha!  The kids did some serious pounding!!  In the middle of the street sweepers a moving van went by very slowly and the driver noticed all the kids at the window and he started waving too!  That was very cute and the kids loved it!

The last group picture from today:  The kids love to go with me to get Linnea after she wakes up from her morning nap!  They all ran down the hall and were knocking on the door.  I said, "Ok, you guys keep knocking and I'll go get the camera!!"  Haha!  Linnea was probably thinking; "Alright alright, come in already!!"  :)

Hudson - 3/21/2018

Hudson ate whole wheat toast and ate mangoes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef with marinara sauce, whole wheat spaghetti noodles, squash, and fruit salad.  How long did it take for Hudson and Avi to start "bickering!?"  I'm glad you asked!  Avi arrived at 8:45, we have breakfast at 9:00, so the answer is 15 minutes.  Haha!  During breakfast time:  "I'm 2!"  "No! I'm 2!"..........Well it's nice to see that you two missed each other!!  :)

Everyone is here today and they were all glad to see Bubba.  Nora kept watching him and just grinning or giggling at his antics.  He wanted to help Nora do some puzzles and we have a system that works great and she is learning, but is also willing to have one of the other kids help her if she can't get it, or gets tired of trying.  We finished one puzzle and I got another one and Hudson said, "That one's super tricky!"  Then we were missing one puzzle piece and Hudson asked, "Can I search for it?"  And he found it in the puzzle rack!  Thanks Bubba!!

Hudson was happy to see his Linnea friend and lay beside her many times this morning!!  He asked Baby Linnea; "Do you think Gary's funny?"  To me he said, "She thinks you're funny Gary!"  Haha! Wow!  That's a smart girl right there Bubba!!

He asked if we could snuggle and he asked if we could take a picture while snuggling.  It was sure sweet to have him back at Little Treasures and we had lots of fun this morning.  He was looking and waving at himself when I took the picture.

Next picture: All I have to say; "Does anyone want to do sign language!"  or  "Does anyone want to sing some songs?"  or  "Does anyone want to do Hickity Pickity?"  And they race to the step below the window and I sit in the chair facing them.  In the picture everyone is looking at Hudson and I'm sure he was sharing some of his insights learned at the petting zoo in Arizona while he was gone!  :)

Hudson - 3/14/2018

Hudson ate french toast and two servings of strawberries for breakfast.  For lunch he ate 'whole 30' chili with hamburger, peppers, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, and sauces.  He also ate whole wheat dinner roll and ate tropical fruit.  At lunch I was feeding Baby Linnea and Hudson has obviously listened to my words while feeding her and today he asked; "Is she slowing down?"  (After she'd ate several bites.)  :)  No, not yet.

These first two pictures are from yesterday afternoon and Hudson was playing with his little buddy after Linnea woke up from her nap.  Hudson is laying on his tummy and Linnea has her feet on his back.  So cute.  The 2nd picture: We were outside playing and the little neighbor boy had a couple of friends over and they were playing on his trampoline.  So I showed Hudson a nice knothole to peek through and observe what they were doing.  (I primarily posted this so 22 will know I'm teaching her grandson some "life skills."  Haha!  You're welcome!)

Here are a couple pictures from this morning's activities.  Hudson had gotten the "I Spy" book again and Nora snuggled up close beside him.  They were doing the exact same thing I posted in yesterday's Blog, but this was SO cute I had to post another picture.  And they were both giggling when I took the picture because she was intentionally pointing to the "wrong" object.  I love the last picture and the cool thing about this moment is that Atley initiated it!  (She will give hugs, but rarely initiates it.) They were sitting on the couch waiting for story time when Atley leaned over and said, "Hug, hug."  It was so precious.  So I asked them if they'd please do it again so I could take a picture.  :)  Thank you Atley and Hudson!  They both have very relaxed peaceful expressions on their faces.

Hudson - 3/13/2018

Hudson ate toasted whole wheat english muffin and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate pork chop meat, two servings of whole wheat toast, a couple bites of roasted vegetables (sweet potatoes, potatoes, and mushrooms), and ate applesauce.

We were in the middle of Story Time when the mail came and three new kid's books arrived that I've been waiting for!  Yes!  By my favorite kid's author too!  Well, maybe it's a tie between her and Dr. Seuss.  Their styles are totally different so that's good!  The kids were almost as excited as me!  I guess I've mentioned her name a lot because Hudson totally said her name perfectly - or at least he pronounced it like I do!  Haha!  He said, "Iza Trapani wrote that book!"  Wow!  That shocked me!  (I know I shouldn't be shocked by anything he says, but I still am!)  I now have 13 of her books.  (And she's an amazing illustrator as well.)  She basically takes the old Nursery Rhymes and expands on them - a lot!

In this first picture Hudson said, "She's getting out a drum."  Linnea had pulled it off the shelf.  He loves laying beside Linnea to be close to her.  And in the 2nd picture Hudson was playing on the couch and said, "Look Gary!  I'm standing on my head!"  Which he sees Riley and Kenzie doing all the time!!

Hudson is reading one of his favorites to Atley and Nora.  It's an "I Spy" book and it has an object on one page and you have to find the same object on the opposite page - which is much more full of many other objects.  In the last picture Hudson was taking Atley's hand and showing her where the object is at.  So cute.  They really do learn a lot from each other.  (Although not usually quite this direct!)  You're a good teacher Hudson!

Hudson - 3/12/2018

Hudson ate bites of whole wheat chex cereal and bites of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef, hamburger bun, bite of lettuce salad with tomatoes and ranch dressing, ate avocados, and bite of oranges.  Hudson, of course, uses meal times to expound on whatever subject comes to his mind.  Today he said, "Is this where we eat and talk?"  Haha!  Yup, we all eat and you talk!  :)  Then I was reminding he and Atley to get their tummies up to the table.  He said, "I don't cooperate very good."  Silly Hudson!  I said, "Yes you do.  Sometimes you cooperate on your own, sometimes I have to help you cooperate."  And that's exactly how it goes.  :)

I told Hudson that Avilene is in Great Falls and he asked, "Is it cold there?"  I'm sure he said that because he's going to Arizona.  So I asked him if it's cold in Arizona.  "No!"  Whenever I ask him what he's gonna do there he always says, "Go swimming."  But this morning he gave me some additional information!  :)  He said, "My Mom gonna take me to a serious serious pizza place!"  Wow!  That does sound serious!!  So cute.  I loved it.

We did a toy, book, and puzzle exchange this weekend and when Hudson asked to do puzzles Atley wanted to do some as well.  (First picture.)  We read lots of books from this exchange during Story time and when I started "Pajama Time" he said, "Hey Gary, this is the book that says jamma jamma jamma pj."  Wow! Good job Hudson!  He said he didn't have this book at home and it's been 16 weeks since we last read this one!!

In the next picture Hudson, Atley, and Nora at the gate as they were running back-n-forth to the mirror.  In the last picture Hudson was snuggling beside me with more books in his hands wanting me to read some more.  I love how much he loves books!!

Hudson - 3/9/2018

Hudson ate breakfast before coming to Daycare and arrived about 9:30.  For lunch he ate tilapia, whole wheat elbow noodles, green beans, and ate two servings of applesauce.

This first picture is left over from yesterday afternoon, but it's too cute not to Post!!  Baby Linnea had worked her way under the balance beam and Hudson packed lots of stuffed animals in around her.  Then he crawled under there as well to hang out with her.  (His face is up close to her face.)  She is a very mellow baby and loves the kids and all the activity.  However, I think she was starting to feel a bit trapped when I took this picture and was soon yelling for help!!

I smacked my hand this morning and yelled "OUCH!!"  Because it hurt!!  :)  Hudson piped up immediately of course!  "You know what my Mom said?"  No! what?  "Accidents happen." Haha!  That was funny.  Well not immediately, but after about 2 minutes when my hand quit hurting!  :)  Also, he has said this next bit several times and I keep forgetting to mention it.  Sometimes when he's on the potty and he's done I say, "I'll be there in a minute!"  He says, "Maybe for 2 hours."  :)  One more thing of silliness! I taught Hudson a joke so ask him tonight, "What do you call a bear with no teeth?"  And he'll tell you the answer.  (A gummy bear.)

We had a fun and normal morning!  Here are a couple of pictures that should help back up that statement!  :)  Hudson likes to stack stuff and make piles as I've mentioned frequently!  And he likes to experiment with it in the process.  In the last picture Avi had built a sidewalk again so I helped them build a 2nd sidewalk.  We also had story time and while reading stories I will sometimes let them finish the last word or two of the sentence and they really like doing that!  As you well know Hudson's ability to recall information he's heard is impressive.  He will amaze me sometimes with how much he can remember!

Thursday, March 8, 2018

Hudson - 3/8/2018

Hudson ate most of whole wheat bagel and two servings of peaches for breakfast.  For lunch he ate hamburger/sausage pizza on whole wheat crust with tomato sauce, olives, peppers, and pineapple.  He also ate a couple bites of mixed fruit.  Sometimes it's a bit rowdy getting through the gate for meal times and I have to watch them closely.  Tuesday and Wednesday Avi walked into the corner of the gate (or was jostled) and hit her forehead.  Today at breakfast Hudson said, "Hey! Avi didn't hit the gate this time.  :)  Thank goodness!!

Hudson enjoys helping Nora work on puzzles and this morning when I got Nora a puzzle Hudson asked, "Can I show her where the pieces go!?"  Thanks for your help Hudson.  And so I teach him how to help her.  :)  So here's a helpful tip Hudson: point where it goes instead of snatching it out of her hand and putting it in the right spot!  Haha.  Also about puzzles; Hudson was out doing puzzles and I've asked them to not set up puzzle play right in front of the puzzle rack so others can put their's back and get more out.  He asked, "Can I scoot (on the hardwood floor) my butt over here!?  Haha! Sure!  Works for me!

Lauralea has been teaching evening classes so she is at home today.  The kids were greeting her at the gate this morning and it was SO cute.  And re-creating the moment looks pretty good too, right!?  (See picture!!  Ha!)  Speaking of Lauralea - during meal times I have the kids say, "Thank you Lauralea!" And she usually isn't around to hear it, but she was today!  Side note about that: This morning at Lunch I mixed some baby food with infant cereal for Linnea and Hudson said, "Thank you Lauralea!"  (As he watched ME fix it. That cracked me up!)

Here are a couple more pictures from the morning activities.  Hudson with his buddy Linnea and Hudson lining up some pillows.  He's gotta keep things organized!!  We also did golf ball art, or as Atley calls it; "goo-ba art."  :)

Wednesday, March 7, 2018

Hudson - 3/7/2018

Hudson ate two servings of whole wheat toast and two servings of grapes for breakfast.  For lunch he ate pork roast with carrots, potatoes, and sweet potatoes.  He ate bites of whole grain tortilla and a large serving of fruit salad.

Avi was talking about her halloween shirt and then she said, "I remember Santa from halloween!" Ha!  Hudson, of course, had to jump on that!  "He's from Christmas!!"

Nora was angry about something and Atley (my little routine girl) went and got Nora a doll blanket even before I said my usual to Nora; "Get a doll blanket and go to your quiet spot."  When Atley came back with a blanket Nora acted insulted.  :)  And yelled louder.  I took this first picture this morning when some of the other kids decided to join her and cover with a blanket.  Nora is at the top right, Hudson is beside her (totally covered up), and Atley is at the bottom of the picture.  Silly kids.

We were doing some selfies and I liked this picture of Hudson laying his head on my shoulder.  Love you Bubba.

Then in the last picture we did stickers at Art Time.  As we were getting ready to go to the Lunch room for art Hudson asked, "Can I do art with you guys?"  Ha!  That made me laugh.  He asked the question like we occasionally leave him behind!  Well everyone, let's vote!  Raise your hand if we should let Hudson join us today!  :)  Hudson was having fun with the little "eyeball" stickers.  We did those last and he was putting them on top of the frogs, dogs, cats, and other animal stickers and laughing about it.  :)

Hudson - 3/6/2018

Hudson ate bites of breakfast:  toasted whole wheat english muffin and dried plums.  For lunch he ate a large serving of chicken with stir fry vegetables, bites of brown rice, and most of oranges.

This first picture were taken yesterday afternoon.  The kids were having fun playing with these Toys - whatever they're called.  (Some kind of magnetic drawing board.)

Here is Hudson visiting with his little friend Linnea.  Linnea's Grandma brought her yesterday and again today.  This morning Hudson asked, "Why are you hanging out with Linnea?"  That made me laugh.  Grandma replied, "Because I'm her Grandma and I'm helping out when her Daddy is out of town."  Hudson, "oh."  :)  That seemed to satisfy his curiosity.

Speaking of Hudson conversations this morning I asked him; "What are you gonna do when you grow up?"  He said, "Hammer."  What are you gonna be when you grow up?  He said, "Baby Linnea."  Haha!  (Obviously being silly and he added some more silly answers.)  So then I asked, "What shall I do when I grow up?"  Hudson quickly replied, "Go to school again."  Great answer.  I asked, "What college did you graduate from?"  He said, "Gary's House!"  Haha!

This morning we had fun with play dough during art time.  I love their enthusiasm for a project - especially if we haven't done it for awhile.  They were using the plastic utensils, little rolling pins, pizza cutters, and cookie cutters.  Atley must have been extra excited as she easily snapped two of the plastic utensils in half!  Haha!

Hudson - 3/5/2018

Hudson ate two servings of cheerios and two servings of banana for breakfast.  For lunch he ate ground beef, whole wheat pita bread, bites of lettuce, tomatoes, and olives.  He had a bite of avocado and ate most of his watermelon.  At breakfast while eating his banana he said, "Sometimes I eat it in the wrapper like a monkey!"  LOL!!  Me too Bubba!!

During Story Time: We're reading Dr Suess and the book said, "fish in tree."  Avi said, "Fish live in water." Hudson said, "______ live in water."  It was a "sh" word so I was guessing; "shirts."  "No"  "shorts" "No"....ugh.  I tried for several moments and couldn't get it.  I said, "Sorry Hudson, can you show me?"  He went over to the Alphabet poster and showed me a crocodile.  Ok, that lives in water too.  I said, "I can't think of it right now."  He said, "Ok, then read."  LOL!!  Oh that hit my funny bone.  And moments later it came to me..."Sharks!?!"  He said, "Yes and they have sharp teeth."  :)

This (picture) shows where Nora does puzzles and this is how we  frequently do it!  I hand her one piece at a time and if she can't find the spot then Hudson or Avi will point it out to her.  This is not an easy puzzle for them to do as it obviously has 26 pieces.  I love the 'social aspect' of what this teaches both of them!!

Hudson and Atley were pushing Nora in the swivel/rocker chair and then falling down - which is always a grand time for everyone with lots of laughter.  :)  Hudson said, "We fall down together!"  Then during Story Time Hudson asked if we could read the "new song book" together.  He loves that new book even though most of the songs are ones from other books that we already have.  The first 2 songs in the book are "Baa Baa Black Sheep" and "Twinkle Twinkle."  Nora was singing in one of my ears and Atley in the other ear.  I literally could not hear myself singing!  Haha!  It was so stinking loud!  And hilariously cute!
