Hudson - 4/13/2018

Hudson ate most of cream of wheat cereal and a nibble of dried plums ("I tried one," he said.) for breakfast.  For lunch he ate a large serving of baked beef kabobs with meat, peppers, zucchini, and mushrooms.  He ate bites of brown rice and a large serving of pineapple.  For some reason the cream of wheat stayed very liquid so it was breakfast in a cup and sucked through a straw.  They actually thought that was pretty cool.  Hudson said, "This is really good!"  Ha!  Which means it's worth a picture!!  Another food story: Hudson just randomly said this morning: "That other time we had appetizers...uhh...do you like shrimpies!?!"  Haha!  Well I like shrimp!

You can tell by looking at this picture of Linnea that Hudson has arrived.  He loves piling the stuffed animals around her.  He also noticed that Linnea was sitting upright and did so on her own.  "Linnea's sitting up!!"  Ten minutes later; "Linnea's sitting up again!!"  She tipped over and bonked her head on the climber steps.  Hudson said, "She's gotta be tough!"  :)  Speaking of Linnea, Hudson yelled, "Nora's on the baby!  Nora's on the baby!"  I looked around the changing table and she was no longer on the baby.  And of course, in typical Linnea fashion, she's grinning hugely at me. I have a comment about this:  It always cracks me up when they squeal on each other like that!  And it happens very frequently with this age group.  They may be playing side-by-side, but exposing your friend's sketchy behavior is totally the thing to do!!

Here are some more pictures from this morning.  Does this first one look familiar?!?  Ha!  I like that I caught Atley in mid-air!  Next picture; the kids LOVE this special field trip (haha) every morning!!  Down the hall squealing with excitement to say hi to Linnea after her morning nap.  They love pounding on the door to announce their arrival!!  The last picture is another group favorite.  Waving at our neighbor "Big Willy" (or as Riley called him "old Billy" -  he and I had a great laugh over that) as he retrieves the mail.  Willy LOVES having the kids pound on the window and wave at him!
