Hudson had a few bites of breakfast: bran cereal and raisins. For lunch he ate a couple bites of chicken salad (with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocados), ate pita bread, and pears.
Bode stayed at the Daycare for maybe 15 minutes this morning before he had to leave for School. (Much to Hudson's delight!) Bode was putting blocks on the igloo for Hudson to knock them off. Then Hudson asked Bode; "Take shoes off, take shoes off?" (See the pictures below) And he's more than happy to help Bubba. I love how Bode likes to engage with the youngest kids in the Daycare. He's a very sweet boy. Bubba adores him and he's a great role model for Hudson!!
After Bode left for school Hudson was packing some blocks around saying, "heavy, heavy, heavy." :) We also read lots of books, watched Reid sleep in the chair, ha! (breaking in the new chair the right way!), and when I asked Hudson what he did last night he said, "Played with Sula." :)
I'm always interested to see the first activity of the day that each child chooses. Sometimes it's what another child is doing, sometimes what they've done the previous week, something new, or with a favorite toy in that set, etc. Avi immediately got some books, like Hudson was doing, and crawled up on the couch to read. I think I mentioned this last week, but she can now pull herself up on the couch so that's another place for her to be rowdy!! Ha! She grabbed one of Bubba's books, he gave her a shove, but she managed to land on her feet. Geez!! Three or four times this morning she was grabbing Hudson's books and sprinting across the room. Little goose!! :) I love how they look so innocent in the picture below!?!?
We played with some legos and I built a house for the kids. Avi likes to take the legos apart and she dismantled this in no time! Hudson was impressed with the house and said, "Whoooaaa, Gary, whooooaaaa!!" However, he was soon mournfully lamenting over and over; "Avi broke it, Avi broke it, Avi broke it." As he stood back and watched the procedure! :)
