Hudson ate a breakfast combo: scrambled eggs, sausage, and hash browns. For lunch he ate some of everything: pork chop, whole wheat english muffin, vegetable mix, and applesauce. The vegetable mix was "roasted root vegetables." Baby red potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, and Brussel sprouts. Yes, I know brussel sprouts grow above ground, but 3 out of 4 is not bad! :) He primarily liked the beets from that dish. At the breakfast table I asked him what he did last night: "Play with Sula." Who does Sula live with? "Momma." Who's dog is Sula? "Momma." Ha! "Momma" is his default answer to most anything!!
This first picture is from yesterday afternoon. I primarily like this picture because all the kids were playing close enough together to get in the same picture. Riley is the "little Mommy" taking care of Baby Nora. Kenzie on the left, Hudson on the right, Sophie in the middle, and Avilene in the foreground. Reid had already left for home.
This first book Hudson is reading is "Baby Beluga." He picked it up and said, "Baby Luga, Baby Luga." This age group amuses me when reading books because they don't really care if the books are upside-down, or right side up! And here's 2 pictures from this morning showing Hudson doing that. I always tell everyone they get twice the mileage out of the same book!! He was saying, "Read Gary, read." Over and over. I told him I'd read as soon as breakfast was over. Recently he's been calling every meal "snack." Minutes later he said, "After snack, after snack?" Yup. When he sees me coming with the food tray he starts yelling, " snack, snack, snack!!"
Here's Hudson sharing some "orange juice" with Baby Nora.
